Aries is the ”get things done” sign in every way (spiritually, mentally and physically) and Mercury rules our thought processes and imagination.   When this Aries Mercury turns retrograde in motion on March 30th it means that we have to slow down and stop.  We will want to run wild but best to wait until after April 22nd before making any major decisions or signing on the dotted line.  Let your thoughts flow with as much excitement as you wish during this period but don’t “act”.    

We will experience, hear and see much action during this period but just take the ride, don’t make any concrete decisions about anything you think, perceive, witness or believe.  Take quiet “me” time and allow yourself to experience and endure this period for yourself and for others. 

Aries people will feel this transit the most as will Pisces people being the sign directly before Aries (There are a lot of Aries people with Pisces traits and vice versa being that they are right next to each other on the zodiac).

Happy Birthday Aries!

Eclipses shine light on situations you didn’t see before or didn’t know existed.  New developments come to your attention enabling you to change your course of action whether you want to or not. 

When an eclipse falls within 5 days of your birthday it means that the coming year will be full of activity having to do with the houses in which the eclipse is falling with the sun and the moon.   All eclipses create endings and beginnings for those the eclipses affect directly.  During an eclipse you will see much coming and going on around you, just watch the news to witness more extraordinary happenings than usual.

Eclipses can cause people to be more emotional than usual.  Caution should be used while driving and doing just regular everyday tasks in general.  Listen to what is going on around you during an eclipse, either obvious or not so obvious signals you may receive during these times will give you an insight of events to come.

This Lunar Eclipse on June 26, 2010 will affect Cancers and Capricorns the most strongly.

When you meet someone who’s Sun sits on your South Node within 8* degrees you may have had a connection with that person from your past life.  It could also mean that this person would hold you back in life.  Someone’s Sun on your South Node indicates a karmic connection of some sort.  Perhaps you were family in a past life or you may be indebted to that person karmically.  In any event, astrologically speaking this person isn’t going to take you places, you will most likely take them further than they would be able to go on their own. 

The Sun person could prevent you from pursuing your forward path in the area of life (house) where the conjunction falls.  No doubt you will feel a strong connection to this person but may not see any good logical reason to pursue the relationship other than the spiritual connection itself.  The Sun person will be needy in some way and if you are so inclined to offer your assistance, it is that assistance that will be the main reason for straying from your own forward path.  In some instances one may totally forsake their own path for the sake to advance the position of the Sun person.  Becoming conscious of this Sun/South Node connection early on in a relationship may prevent the South Node person from getting involved too deeply if it is not what they desire.   In other cases it is also possible that the South Node person could take on the Sun person as a charity case creating an unstoppable selfless drive to sacrifice everything in one’s own life for the Sun person – this “sacrifice all” karmic connection suggests a past indebtedness as if the South Node person feels that they owe the Sun person everything they have to give.

The South Node has to do with our past and the North Node is where we should look to be heading in life.  If someone’s Sun is conjunct your North Node, this person will present you with opportunities to advance.  The Sun/North Node karmic connection is your opportunity to receive favor from another perhaps due to sacrifices you have made in the past for another – it’s the “pass it forward” karma of the universe.

Scott always thinks of greener pastures not only socially and materially, but romantically.  He is extremely critical of his partner.  Scott has Venus in Virgo so he’s extremely meticulous about hygiene and how he looks.  He’s very “picky” about how his woman looks and acts, paying close attention to detail in reference to her mannerisms, how she takes care of herself and how she takes care of him.  Scott’s list of requirements in a mate for what she can improve is endless because nothing will ever be “perfect” enough for him.  Appearances are everything to this Scorpio.  He has a strong drive for “status” driven by selfish greed but he keeps that hidden and it isn’t apparent to others.   There is an insatiable drive for sex, excitement and extra-marital affairs. 
 
Scott fully trusted his wife Laci however Laci didn’t completely trust Scott - he was really good at deceiving her and she didn‘t know whether or not to believe him most of the time.  Laci always felt an uneasiness about whether or not she could fully trust Scott and he was the one in control.  As time passed, the ability to agree to disagree became more and more difficult.  Laci was completely unaware of the danger that would affect her personally through her bond with Scott.  Powerful negative emotions would grow between them but Laci would be unaware of her situation to make a break.  Laci couldn’t properly analyze her relationship because of all the lies, there were so many things she didn’t know. 
 
Scott and Laci’s Astrological Chart Comparison (Overlay):

All I can say is WOW.  I was floored by the comparison of these two charts.  If there were ever a match made in hell this would be it and it was destined to fail from the beginning.  I am amazed that Scott and Laci lasted as long as they did and I am absolutely shocked that they made it to the altar much less got pregnant together! 

Looking at Scott and Laci’s horoscopes in relation to each other is looking at impending disaster.  Laci should have run the other way upon meeting Scott.  When I first glanced at the planetary aspects between them, I tried to figure out why these two people were together in the first place.  I can see now that it was instant attraction (Sun conjunct Uranus).  Ironically, this aspect is found in the astrological comparisons of  many famous couples and they definitely are famous.  Laci’s Venus (love) and Mars (sex) in Scott’s seventh house of marriage/partnerships trines his Mars which is a very powerful indication that these two people had an instant sexual attraction that lead to mind blowing sex.  We all know though that great sex is not enough to hold a relationship together for the long haul. 

It would be inevitable that these two would not get along once all of the illusions of love (or lust) faded away and hard reality hit them both between the eyes.  They would stay with each other until circumstances of deception, incompatibility and differences would eventually drive them apart.  There is a ton of stuff going on in these two charts all involving Mars (violence), Saturn (cruelty), Venus (love), Mars (sex, war, struggle for power) &  Neptune (deception).
 
Laci’s Saturn square Scott’s Mars and Uranus:
Laci and Scott both made unreasonable heavy demands on each other.  Laci would try to restrain Scott and he would resent it.  Conflict, lawsuits over corp funds, insurance, inheritances and alimony are indicated.  This is a volatile and unstable relationship.  Each would encourage the other toward impulsive acts and things don’t go as originally planned.  They won’t agree on business affairs nor how to handle joint finances.  Scott will view Laci as uncooperative and she will resent and rebel against him.  They are a threat to each other’s authority, so outbursts of temper and violence are characteristic of this relationship. 
 
Laci’s Venus/Mars conjunct Scott’s Saturn in the 7th house of Marriage:  Ulterior motives of status or financial gain can ruin the relationship.  Scott is cold, unresponsive, stingy and mean in the marriage.  Scott is a  restraining influence on Laci and she resents it (they take turns doing this to each other) and there is a general air of uneasiness and mistrust.  The relationships is fraught with obstacles and there is never really a peaceful existence at any time. 
 
Approximate time of Laci’s murder – December 23-24, 2002:   I am basing my observations by using a 9pm 1/23/02 Modesto, Calfornia transit time on Scott’s Natal and Progressed Chart using Laci’s Natal as an overlay – I chose this time because Laci died sometime between the late evening of the 23rd and the day of the 24th.  By 9pm on the 23rd Scott’s motivations would have been in motion. 

Scott Peterson is completely out of his mind and has lost control.  He’s driven by a compulsion, irrational ideas and twisted individual plans.  There is no doubt in my mind that Scott is responsible for the death of Laci.  Justice made the right decision in putting this man away.  Scott is completely delusional and has a specific agenda in place to take control of his ”situation”.  Scott has reached his limit of patience and Laci and their unborn child are not in his future plans.  Scott wants to completely break free and his twisted desire is for a permanent separation so that he can go on with his life.  Scott wants to regain his independence but divorce isn’t good enough because he doesn‘t want to be responsible for alimony and child support for the rest of his life.  Scott has a better plan, he wants to “eliminate the problem” so he can selfishly (and secretly) start all over again with something “better” since the grass is always greener on the other side.   
 
Scott is so arrogant and believes that he’s better and smarter than everyone else.  The aspects on the days of December 23-24 2002  between Scott’s Natal, Progressed and Transit chart with an overlay of Laci’s Natal layed over his map are that Scott’s progressed Moon in Cancer 8th (water) in opposition to Jupiter in Capricorn (huge & expansive) and making a T-square to Chiron in the 4th (spouse/children/end of life)  = huge bodies of water like the ocean.  Laci and her baby were found months later washed up on a beach in California.  Not only that, Scott’s progressed moon is squaring his Natal Mars and Uranus (and transiting Mars is in the 12th).  Scott clearly was forcing limitations on Laci that day.   In this case, Laci’s Natal Taurus Sun (in the overlay) in Scott’s 6th is forming a Grand Square with transiting Jupiter and Moon in Leo 9th, Mars and Venus 12th and Uranus/Neptune 3rd and 4th.  

Laci fought for her life against Scott, imagine the horror.  Scott’s obsession with freedom was driving him over the edge of sanity but what he did not know at the time was that his dirty deeds would indeed become discovered. 

Scott Peterson has no remorse for the murder of his wife and baby.  Scott Peterson only obsesses about himself and his “status” either personally, materially or romantically and he’s not capable of anything else.   To this day he maintains his innocence because well “appearances are everything”, he’s just sorry he got caught. 

April 18, 2003  Scott got arrested for double murder and his progressed Uranus is aspecting his ascendant bringing immediate notoriety (fame).  Scott’s plan has failed and his secret is out, the whole world knows of Scott Peterson.

Scott had taken out a $250,000 life insurance policy on Laci as part of his plan, this is so apparent in their chart comparison by a T-square aspect between his chart and hers where her Saturn is sitting in Scott’s 8th house of death, legacies and insurance policies.  His motive was sinister due to the square of Laci’s Saturn to natal his Mars and Uranus (in his 11th house of hopes and wishes – he won’t get his wish) and then his Mars/Uranus opposition to his Chiron (wife/baby) which is sitting in his 4th house of the “end of life”.   Scott’s progressed moon is what sets off this T-Square between Laci’s natal Saturn, Scott’s Natal Mars and Scott’s Natal Chiron.  

My additional comments: 
 
After reviewing all of this, I know that Scott Peterson has gone completely berserk, he’s delusional, ego driven and arrogant in thinking he can outsmart the world.  He thought he could carry out his sick scheme because he was sure that Laci would never be found. 
 
Since Scott has been so successful at deception his whole life, he thought that he would get away with Laci‘s murder.  He actually had the support of Laci’s parents at one time.  Scott though he was the prime suspect in his wife and baby’s murder still believed that he would get away with it once the dust settled.  Scott was totally caught off guard when Laci’s body was found. 

Scott must have sensed something was up right before they found Laci because it looked like he was fixing to take off and just not deal with any of it, money or not.   Scott was caught with his meticulously organized survival gear kit (Venus in Virgo) for his getaway. 
 
The charts of Scott and Laci are terrible together and I just cannot believe the media reports that say they were a “happy couple”.   I don’t buy it for a second.  All I see is a lot of emotional entwinement made up with sex and then fighting – an abusive cycle.  I know that Laci was really in the dark as far as how sinister her husband really was but there had to be physical confrontations and violent arguments long before Laci was murdered.  

I see that they may have broken up and gotten back together a few times.  Laci would yield to Scott in order to iron out their fights and keep the peace. 

I don’t know why Scott married Laci, the charts say for financial gain or for status but I don’t know anything about Laci’s family or status position in society.  Maybe once Scott married Laci it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be (it never is for Scott).  I’m sure the pregnancy caught him by surprise and that’s probably what put the final screw in his plans to escape the responsibility of his family.
 
It’s really sad to look at these charts together, if only they had never met,  Laci would still be alive today.  Separately, Scott and Laci may have made their way in life but together they were an explosive combination – the charts combined became evil unfortunately, there were too many serious obstacles to overcome.  It’s a shame that Laci didn‘t know enough to get out of it before it was too late.  I don’t know if  friends and family knew of the instability of Scott and Laci’s relationship, you would think people would try to give Laci some good advice but I doubt she would have listened anyway.

The conclusion is that Scott killed Laci out of greed and selfishness, he got in deeper with Laci than he realized he wanted to go and wanted out so he killed her to shirk all responsibility, be a “playboy” and start over.

The Night Stalker

Serial killer/Devil Worshipper Richard Ramirez is known as the infamous “Night Stalker” responsible for the rapes, beatings, shootings, kidnappings and murders of numerous victims ranging in age from 6-84 throughout Los Angeles in 1985. 

Ramirez crept around in the wee hours of the morning under the shade of nightfall to enter homes through unlocked windows or doors.  Ramirez terrorized, robbed and killed his victims.  

A cocaine addict, Ramirez scored drugs as often as he could and had a love for the music of AC/DC, especially the song “Night Prowler”.  Ramirez believed that if he committed crimes out of loyalty to the devil that he would be rewarded by having power and protection. 

As with most serial killers and criminals, their childhoods are to blame and Richard is no exception.  Either Mommy, Daddy or some other authority figure is at the root of the problem for what would take otherwise ordinary children and turn them into monsters.

On August 3, 1985 Ramirez’s reign of terror was over after an 8 month long investigation.  The FBI, Police and public were all on the lookout for the elusive Night Stalker and Richard Ramirez was finally captured by the citizens of Los Angeles in broad daylight. 

Ramirez, after being sentenced to death row, married a 41 year-old woman by the name of Doreen Lioy who claimed to fall in love with Ramirez while following news reports of his crimes and quitting her job to follow Richard’s court case.   Lioy’s family disowned her upon her prison marriage to Ramirez.  Ramirez and Lioy were allowed to kiss after the wedding ceremony but conjugal visits were never granted.  I don’t think anyone knows what ever became of Doreen Lioy after she married Ramirez.  These days Richard Ramirez enjoys communicating with his cult-followers and receiving fan mail and love letters in prison.

 Ramirez is a Sun sign Pisces and for as many species of fish as there are in the sea, so it is with Pisces.  Some are gentle dreamers, some fighting fish and some docile, some swimming upstream, some swimming down, top feeding or bottom feeding, large in size to small and so on.  When I think of Ramirez the Piranha comes to mind.  The close opposition of the Sun in fantasy Pisces to Pluto in meticulous Virgo  produces an intense and driven desire for power and domination and would also produce a stern, controlling and critical father.  From what I have read, Ramirez’s father was a hard working policeman.  Venus conjunct Mars in Aquarius makes Ramirez strangely magnetic and square Neptune in Scorpio in a dark and mysterious way.  Mars square Neptune by itself can create a diabolical nature so this particular Venus/Mars/Neptune combination becomes driven by bizarre subconscious beliefs and desires.  In this case  risky, dangerous, violent sexual desires that must be carried out in private. 

Getting back to power, Ramirez believed in Satan – he believed that Satan would make him invincible if he gave into evil so Ramirez chose to operate upon his lower nature, his Sun power, Venus/Mars square Neptune of sex, drugs and rock and roll.  When we think of Satan we think of all things evil such as hate, hell and all things ungodly.

It’s terribly sad to have lost Michael Jackson so suddenly yesterday.  Michael Jackson’s spirit will live on forever as the greatest superstar of all time. 

I am thankful to have been a part of the generation that was able to enjoy Michael Jackson all the way back from his days with the Jackson 5, through the 80′s with the Off the Wall album and Thriller to the present.  I regret never being able to see Michael Jackson in person.  Had he lived I’m sure I would have attended his next concert. 

As I stated in my earlier post “The Upcoming Separative Aspect”, these upcoming eclipses are going to rock some of us about so I can see this is already starting to happen.  The Jackson family has been devastated by their sudden loss of Michael.  The world will mourn the loss of Michael Jackson for a long time to come and I think just about everyone is feeling badly today about it.  God Bless Michael Jackson, a misunderstood and troubled soul who’s talent was unmatched by anyone before him.  May his soul rest in peace.  The King of Pop will live on forever in our hearts.

An individual astrology chart will not show a death. However, a death would show in the charts around the person in question so here we will take a look at Janet Jackson’s chart.

Janet has Transiting Uranus at 26 Pisces conjunct her Natal Saturn at 27 degrees in the 8th house of injury/surgery/death and these are square progressed Mars at 21* Gemini, Gemini rules brothers and sisters. 

Transiting Saturn is conjunct Natal Uranus in the second and surprisingly, Transiting Uranus is conjunct natal Saturn in the eighth forming a double opposition both squaring that Progressed Mars in Gemini therefore forming a T-Square aspect thus creating a sudden separation of Janet from her brother, the Progressed Moon at 18 Scorpio (notice conjunct natal Neptune the planet of drugs) is also opposition Natal Mercury (brothers and sisters) as further confirmation.  To add to the pain, Janet’s progressed Sun is at 6* of Cancer square her Natal Moon in 12* Aries.

Please keep each other in your prayers this July as the eclipses rock us to and fro.  The Lunar Eclipse is due to us for July 7th and it will be at 0* Capricorn, the second wave will come as a Total Solar eclipse on the 22nd of July at 29* Cancer.  Please allow one week prior and one week after for each eclipse for your observations.

The thought to most of us of never having to work a day in our lives can get pret-ty dreamy, it is for me at least.  I have visions of frittering my days away at this keyboard, banging out astrology wisdom for all of my readers as I look out over the ocean on the Mexican Riviera and checks automatically get deposited into my swiss bank account. Hey, it could happen!

While most of us can only dream about what it would be like to be born into such a privileged lifestyle, people like Paris Hilton live that reality every day of their lives so ”that’s hot“. 

So what do you think Paris Hilton is really like?  Some would say that life is too easy for someone like her, that’s she’s just an airhead barbie who runs around the world partying to her hearts content and has no real substance as a human being.  She’s  gorgeous, was born with everything, has endless opportunities and open doors available to her, no limits to time spent or money spent, can go anywhere she wants whenever she wants, she’s famous all over the world and the list goes on and on.  Paris Hilton can have and do just about anything so it is human nature for many to put her down just for the sole purpose of good ol’ fashioned envy.  Isn’t it just easier to say that Paris Hilton is a bimbette who just got lucky in life?  It is for most people but I disagree.  “People are people” no matter what they have or don’t have.  Paris Hilton is no more valuable than any one of us in the eyes of the Big Guy Upstairs and I’m sure she would agree with that. 

So what kind of person is Paris Hilton anyway?  Let’s take a look at her astrology chart. 

Born February 17, 1981 in New York City our lovely Ms. Hilton is an Aquarian.  An Aquarian with Mercury also in Aquarius in the same degree putting that Mercury in a via combust position so – nobody will every really be able to predict what Ms. Hilton will or will not do, say or not say.  She is about as unpredictable as anyone could possibly be as will be her communicative style.  Communicatively speaking, I’ve seen Hilton’s silly baby talk routine and I have also seen her talk like a normal human being – she will always be unpredictable and an oddball as far as her thoughts and verbal communication are concerned.   With her Leo Moon and Sun/Mercury square Uranus at 29* of Scorpio the sex sign, her baby talk is a slight pompous reminder to the world she has been born to privilege and at the same time she thinks it’s very “sex kitten-ish” hence Leo but it just comes across as odd to everyone which is what this whole square is about – an unpredictable communicative style but I think she’ll figure out that it’s stupid eventually.  This Sun/Mercury Uranus square is also partly to blame for people not taking her seriously so the faster she ditches the baby talk the better.

Aquarians are friends to everyone and we all know Paris has more than her share of friends.  She is a very social animal and feels comfortable in the limelight because her moon is in Leo which is the showbiz sign.  She’s an energetic creative dreamer with a contagious optimism (Jupiter trine Venus w/ Sagittarius on the ascendant & Neptune in the 1st).  With Venus in Aquarius Paris will be generous and kind towards her friends though she may suffer betrayal froms friends who are jealous of her (Mars square Uranus and Mars rules her 11th house of friends).  Nicole Ritchie was a prime example, Ritchie is a 27* Virgo which is ruled by Mercury so with Hilton’s Sun/Merc square Uranus and Ritchie’s Sun square Hilton’s Neptune in the first the friendship was definitely destined to hit the rocks at some point.  Ritchie was jealous of Hilton pure and simple.  Hilton and Ritchie are both oddballs but Hilton would be the more lovable of the two I would think.  Hilton being attracted to oddballs would naturally befriend Ritchie who was kinda “out there”.  Paris Hilton is better off without Ritchie, friendships like that end because they have outlived their purpose.  Aquarians very much need good friends but with aspects such as Hilton’s real friends are hard to come by.  Since Paris is attracted to odd relationships and people, it’s really not so ironic that she would make such a strange move as to star in a reality television show called “Best Friend Forever” and turn to the masses to find such a person, what heiresses do that? 

Paris’s Jupiter/Saturn trine Venus is responsible for her riches as is her Sun/Mercury trine Pluto – that’s a powerful indication of her inheritance as seen by her having Cancer ruling her 8^th house of inheritance and the moon which rules the eighth IN the 8^th in Leo, the Sun which rules Leo is in trine aspect to Pluto (inheritance).

Paris Hilton has had the greatest success as a model, not so much as a “serious” actress or singer.  Paris in essence is fulfilling her destiny with her Moon in Leo and that is to have her name in lights.  However, I think that Paris has not yet performed to her fullest potential.  She wants very much to be taken seriously at fame but is unsure of how to go about it.  Models look perfect, walk perfectly, pose perfectly and they are our darling barbie dolls that we just love to look at on TV and in the magazines and Paris has nailed this down quite well but there is something missing because she needs to express herself.  She tried her hand at singing to fulfill this need and that idea was quickly dashed and it’s no wonder with that Uranus/Mercury, it just wouldn’t work. 

Ok don’t laugh but I think that Paris Hilton has a very good chance of being a respected and serious actress in the movies and I’ll tell you why.  Paris is stuck in this model/reality tv/non-serious actress/ beauty queen mode.  It’s difficult to take her seriously with the work that she has done so far.  What we can see about Hilton from her horoscope is that she is a sensitive soul, a humanitarian of sorts who has an inclination towards unusual people and also unusual pets.  She has been known to have a true love of animals and has had curious friends and lovers.  If Paris were to shift her image, her acting image to that of someone more like herself, one who “champions the underdog” she would find more success as an actress and therefore be taken more seriously.  Paris’s communicative style is odd so any acting part that is unusual in some way would be more favorable for her.  We are all aware of actors that always play stereotypical parts of the bad guy/girl or the seducer/seductress, the bum, the bully and so on.  If Paris Hilton were to start to concentrate on movie parts that are unlike her glamourous public image and display what she has to offer as a human being, her uniqueness, magical things could happen.  Take Juliette Lewis for instance, if you ran into this girl on the street you would not look at her twice, she is just very ordinary looking but she is a box office powerhouse – why?  Juliette Lewis is kind of odd in a way and plays odd roles but she is taken very seriously by movie critics.  It is the oddness about Juliette and the diversity of her roles that make her great.  I think Paris Hilton could do this too – she has more than enough people and money at her disposal to make it happen.  So Paris, if you are out there, try your hand a more ordinary look coupled with an unusual character and you just may find that you have found your true calling – it’s in there, it just needs to come out

Playing Casino Blackjack with Astrology involves learning to identify “windows of opportunity” within your astrology chart by looking at the transits in relation to your natal chart.  What I mean by this is that you will need to find a date and actual time span where the planets will line up in your favor to help you win!

The formula I use for gambling using “windows of opportunity” are looking at the planet that rules your natal 5th house cusp (house of speculation).  After that prepare a transit chart for the date, time and place you are looking to gamble – you will have to fiddle around with this one to get the transits to line up the way you want to, I will explain.  If you have transiting Venus in trine aspect to the ruler of your 5th house cusp, this is favorable but hold on, you want to make sure your luminaries (transiting Sun, Moon) are in a good position, no nasty squares or oppositions to Saturn, Mars or Uranus.  Jupiter “the gift giver” is also verrrrry lucky so any good aspect between Jupiter, Venus, Jupiter and ruler of your 5th, involving a nice blend of  your luminaries is all the better.  You basically want to see harmony between the ruler of your natal 5th then….  transiting Sun or Moon & Jupiter or Venus – check out the Part of Fortune, that can’t hurt either. 

To play blackjack successfully, KNOW YOUR GAME.  Don’t ever approach a blackjack table if you don’t know how to play and expect to win, you will lose and only annoy the other players at the table. You may have beginner’s luck but that will be short-lived.  Go practice online for awhile to get the hang of it.

When you have found your “window of opportunity” time span, look at the transit chart by itself.  Look at what sign is rising on the ascendant and what planet(s) is aspecting the ascendant itself or the ruler of the ascendant.  Pay attention to 1^st house cusp changes and aspects throughout the time span.  The combination of the planet(s) aspecting the ascendant and the sign on the ascendant cusp will describe your winning blackjack dealer.  Only consider the closest aspects between planets to the ascendant or to the ascendant’s ruler. 

You need to get a feel for the casino floor before you start to play so take your time in the beginning.

One time on one of my lucky days, I headed to Atlantic City after work to play some cards.  My lucky time span was to be between 7-9pm – perfect.  I entered the Sand’s Casino Hotel (that was my favorite place) and first stopped at the restrooms to freshen up and calm my nerves before hitting the casino floor.  I always get a little nervous before I am about to start gambling with my money, I am a Cancer so I’m a little tight fisted.  I entered a stall and there was a GIANT cup of coins sitting there.  I picked them up and went to cash them out – it turned out to be a little over $200!  That was lucky enough for me so I went straight back to my car and went home.  I was determined to quit while I was ahead!

 Another time, which was my biggest win to date at the Sand’s Casino in Atlantic City, involved Aries on the Ascendant with the Transiting Sun in Leo trine the Moon in the first house.  I was looking for a woman dealer who looked like a Lion or regal in some way.  I did my usual cruise around the tables, eyeing the tables and eyeing the dealers and there she was, a woman (Moon) dressed in the sparkly purple Sand’s Casino dealers garb (Royal Leo) with a long mane (Leo) of Red hair (Aries) – that was my girl and what a night it was!  I started out there with $50 measly dollars and I just could not lose – people were just standing around watching me play.  I walked away 2 hours later with $600.

If you try this method to play blackjack I would like to hear back from you to hear about your results.  When you cannot figure out who your dealer may be, my advice is to make your best observation and take your chances because the stars are still working in your favor. 

It is always a good idea to arrive early to get a feel for your surroundings before you play blackjack.  I look for weak dealers but strong players.  I never take on a dealer one on one and I always try to find a good mix of people at a table.  If the table is full of inexperienced players you are going to have to make the decision of whether or not to stay because an inexperienced player can throw the whole table off again and again.  If your game is not going well, do not feel pressured to stay, it’s YOUR money.  Even if you have only played 5 hands do not feel funny about getting up to change tables.  Never chase your money.  Always have a set amount you are prepared to lose and that’s it, do not go beyond your limit to win back what you have lost because it rarely happens, cut your losses and hope for better luck next time.  Blackjack takes a lot of self control.

 Know how to take a hint from a dealer, there are some nice ones out there so if you are friendly and courteous and a dealer gives you “a look” while tapping his/her finger on a card, pay attention, they are signaling you to hit.  Pay attention to what is going on around you.

Janet’s preferred splits:  A’s and 8′s 

As much as I hate to hit 12′s that is the best thing to do if your dealer is showing higher than a 2 which is usually always the case.  Statistically, this is the best decision for the game. 

Learn how to double down and when, double on 10′s, Aces, even 9′s sometimes if the dealer has a low hand, always pay attention to what everyone at the table has.  Atlantic City uses between 4, 6 or 8 decks of cards so pay attention to how many tens (+ Jacks, Queens and Kings) are coming out, you have to kind of keep an eye on how many 10′s are left in the deck.  There will be 128 cards that = 10 in an 8 deck card stack. 

Insurance is not necessary unless you have thousands on the table and it is a particularly nail biting session, general rule is don’t take the insurance – I never do but it’s up to you.
